Daniel and Jesse had been on the race committee for this event the previous couple years and Jesse had a third place finish in 2013 with a PR of 2:52:41. Daniel decided to race the course, one that he had completed many 20+ mile training runs on over the past couple years. Daniel thought that his increase in training and practice running the trail would have resulted in a PR; however, the head-wind, warm weather, and potty breaks played a role in falling short of goal. Despite being the disappointed by the slower (than hoped) time, Daniel enjoyed a nice run on a beautiful day!
Rather than run in the warm weather, Jesse (smartly) chose to enjoy a day on the lake.
